Call for re:iimmune testimonials

re:iimmune® Hydrobiotic - 3pack - 30 day supplyWe love to hear from our customers about how re:iimmune has helped support their regular health routine and/or aid in their recovery. We often share testimonials from our regular customers to help get the word out about the benefits of our hydrobiotic formula. Now we are calling for a new round of testimonials and if yours is selected as a feature on our blog, you’ll be entered to get a gift of thanks, a box of re:iimmune to replenish your supply!

If you have been regularly using our product which was created to deliver clinical strength hydration, provide beneficial gut bacteria and decrease inflammation in the gut, we want to hear your story! Here are some ideas of what to include. . .

  • Give us a little background on yourself and how did you come across re:iimmune? What issues were you aiming to address? Were you recovering from an illness, suffering from a chronic condition or adding it to your wellness routine to aid in staying healthy?
  • How long have you been using re:iimmune? What is your routine to incorporate it into your day?
  • What benefits have you noticed by regularly consuming re:iimmune?

American consumers are literally flooded with gimmicky and expensive variations on H2O: concoctions of sugar, artificial flavors and unsubstantiated ingredients that can themselves pose a challenge to our health. At the same time, poor hydration and insufficient intestinal microflora can endanger patient recovery and lead to hospital readmissions and poor outcomes. Dr. Kerri Miller developed re:iimmune to address those issues and to help people get better, better! A Johns Hopkins and Harvard educated nurse practitioner, Dr. Miller developed a simple solution; make the water you drink more efficient during illness recovery!

With her oral Hydrobiotic technology, she created a solution that gives water more power to hydrate while supercharging the body’s natural defense system.

We want to hear from you and share your story to encourage others to give re:iimmune a try and help more people who are on the road to recovery or looking to maintain a healthy gut and stay properly hydrated. If you would like to help us get the word out, please email your testimonial to info@makepeoplebetter.com. As inspiration we’ve included a couple of testimonial videos below!

Eczema – Natural Remedies and Link to Gut Health

Eczema is a chronic and irritating problem for many people. It’s a type of inflammation of the skin called dermatitis that causes redness, scaling, swelling, itching and bleeding. An estimated 35 million Americans suffer from one form or another of the condition. Seventy percent of cases develop in children prior to age five and over half of infants who have eczema will continue to have symptoms into adulthood. There are three forms; atopic, contact and seborrhoic dermatitis. The latter, seborrhoic dermatitis is also known as cradle crap or dandruff, causing dry or oily scaling of the scalp. Contact dermatitis is the result of contact with different types of allergens and irritants found in creams, foods, plants and some metals. Atopic dermatitis is the result of allergies like hay fever and typically makes itself known at an early age on the face, scalp, neck, inside elbows and behind the knees.

There are several triggers of eczema, including what’s happening in the digestive system. Infants who are bottle fed are more likely to develop eczema as they are not getting enough essential fatty acids that they would receive from breast milk. Other people have trouble converting linoleic acid to anti-inflammatory hormone-like substances called prostaglandins. Much research is now being done on the connection between gut health, emotions and skin. Emotional stress results in a depletion of digestive enzymes and digestive and skin issues emerge. Or in cases of “leaky gut syndrome” the intestines become porous allowing bits of undigested food to enter the bloodstream which can cause allergic reactions. Candida, a form of yeast is also linked to skin irritations such as eczema.

So what to do if you are suffering from a form of eczema? We’ve got some suggestions for you including things to avoid and foods to eat. . .

Re:iimmune

Hydration is extremely important when it comes to maintaining a healthy intestinal tract. The L-Glutamine in our intestinal support formula works to rebuild the delicate tissue of the intestinal lining, while ginger aids in decreasing inflammation and zinc which benefits the skin’s ability to heal. re:iimmune also combines a variety of probiotic strains as well as one essential prebiotic which acts as food for the probiotics to thrive. These probiotics allow the body to produce the beneficial bacteria your digestive system needs to function properly.

Get the right nutrients in your diet

A diet rich in essential fatty acids, zinc, Vitamins A and B6, and beta-carotene is key. Some good choices are bananas, bone broths, potatoes, sweet potatoes, green onions, buckwheat, rice milk and mung beans.

Gut Health/Healthy Mind Connection

twenty20_a54cb905-f1df-4c88-a748-54aaf3606cbb

Research into the connection between gut health and the brain has exploded in recent years. Although 100 years ago, Russian immunologist Ellie Metchnikoff put forth the idea that keeping the gut environment healthy could play a part in warding off senility, the push to examine the idea has grown slowly. Research is now expanding rapidly to focus on the role of bacteria in our digestive tract and how what we consume can alter that environment and affect not just digestion and metabolism but brain function as well. Scientists have even begun to call the gut’s nervous system our “second brain”.

We know that intestinal microbes interact with the immune system, which connects to the brain. The gut also releases hormones and neuroactive compounds that travel throughout our blood stream. In fact, our digestive tract forms about 70% of our immune system and contains more neurons than the entire spinal cord!

Here are some of the mental health conditions that scientists are discovering have connections to gut health. . .

Depression/Anxiety

Researchers are focusing on how what’s going on with our gut health may play a role in depression and anxiety. More than ⅓ of people who suffer from depression are also suffering from “leaky gut” where bacteria seeps into the bloodstream due to the permeability of the gut lining. Studies are also showing that prebiotics can have anti-anxiety and antidepressant effects.

Autism

Research indicates that as many as 9 out of 10 people who are autistic also suffer from “leaky gut” or Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and there is growing evidence that intestinal microbes exacerbate and may even cause some of the symptoms of austism.

Parkinson’s

Scientists have found that there is a link between a family of bacteria, Enterobacteriaceae and the severity of symptoms in Parkinson’s patients. Those patients with high levels of the bacteria also had more difficulty with motor functions such as walking and balance.

Digestive Health – Why you need both probiotics and prebiotics

What are probiotics and prebiotics and how do they affect digestive health?

The human digestive system is full of both good and bad bacteria and when all is working well, the good bacteria help to keep the bad at bay! Inside the digestive tract there are trillions of microorganisms working to keep the balance and keep the entire body healthy. An imbalance doesn’t just cause gastrointestinal and digestive issues. Our gut health is connected to brain function and mood, skin health and our immune system.

Probiotics are living bacteria and yeast which live in the intestines and help balance out bad bacteria in the digestive system. We ingest probiotics through foods like yogurt, kefir and aged cheeses such as bleu, gouda and cheddar. You can also get probiotics through soybean products and brined and fermented foods like pickles and sauerkraut.

However, all on their own probiotics can only have a limited effect because they are easily destroyed in our system. Probiotics must have particular sources of food in order to flourish and that’s where prebiotics lend a helping hand in digestive health! Prebiotics are not living bacteria, they are forms of fiber which act as food for probiotics. Legumes, beans, bananas, berries and vegetables like tomatoes, onions, asparagus, and greens are all good sources of prebiotics to add to your diet.

Often a good diet is not enough to keep a good balance of probiotics and prebiotics in our systems and a supplement can be of enormous benefit. Especially if one has been taking antibiotics which can kill off a number of good bacteria, if one has contracted food poisoning or is recovering from an illness. The latter was one of the driving forces in the creation of re:iimmune. We want to help people get better, better and two of the best things you can do for your digestive health when your system has been thrown out of whack for whatever reason is to stay hydrated and keep your gut in good health!

Why would you NOT re:iimmune?

Why Wednesday

Paula_Thompson

“A better question is “Why would you Not re:iimmune?”

I have suffered from IBS since I was a teenager, I know how important “gut health” is so when I heard about re:iimmune I knew I had to try it.  I have used it for a couple years and I love it.  Every morning I drink a full glass of it, so it helps rehydrate me and the probiotics keep my gut in check. Since starting on re:iimmune I have not had any IBS issues, even in situations that would otherwise cause a flare up. I also have shared the product on numerous occasions with my elderly parents when they have had the flu and or have to take antibiotics and it has helped them recover faster and like me, my Dad thinks the salty flavor is great.  So, why re:iimmune…because it is all about taking care of yourself, being healthier, and living an active life style with NO side effects.”  –Paula T.

IBS is one of many gut related disorders that make life miserable for countless individuals, in fact IBS affects between 25 and 45 million people in the U.S. and that’s just one gut related disorder among many. There are diet regimes and medications that help alleviate the daily discomfort that goes along with most of these digestive disorders, while re:iimmune® is here to help boost your progress, and pitch in some extra aid on the especially challenging days. Hydration is a key component in maintaining a healthy intestinal tract, so naturally the Clinical Strength Hydration™ found in a glass of re:iimmune®, combined with its intestinal immune support formula, provide a safe and easy way for you to get better, better™The L-Glutamine in our intestinal immune support formula works to rebuild the delicate tissue specifically found in your intestinal lining, while the ginger root extract soothes nausea and aids in decreasing inflammation. One of the most important things you can do for your body when you’re dealing with a digestion upset is to add a pre and probiotic blend to your diet, re:iimmune® combines 14 different probiotic strains with one essential prebiotic (food for the probiotics to live off of). Probiotics will allow your body to produce the good bacteria your digestive system requires in order to function properly.

How L-Glutamine Helps Heal Your Gut

But Wait, There’s More…

I’ve been told befcell_questionmarkore, “If you don’t recognize the ingredient, it’s probably not good for you!” -well here I am to prove this concept wrong. Rather than writing off ingredient’s with big, foreign, or funny sounding names, it’s time to start learning some new words and what they mean in relation to your body. It’s always important to do your own research anytime you begin taking a new supplement or medicine so that you’re aware of what you’re putting into your body, and WHY. We’re here to tell you about one of our favorite commonly unrecognized words -L-Glutamine.

WHAT is L-Glutamine? L-Glutamine is 1 of 20 amino acids, as most amino acids are known for aiding specifically in the restoration and growth of muscle tissue, L-Glutamine is uniquely known for it’s use as fuel for the cells in your gut lining. The cells in your intestinal wall are able to absorb it directly and utilize it more quickly than any other amino acid. L-Glutamine supports the lining of your intestinal wall by aiding in the production of healthy intestinal mucus and Secretary Immunoglobulin Type A (SIgA) as well as tightening the openings in your intestinal wwater.splashall itself.

Bonus: Not only is L-Glutamine the superhero of gut restoration with it’s powerful tissue repair ability, but it also acts as a co-transporter in our Clinical Strength Hydration formula. L-Glutamine works alongside sodium to pull hydration directly into your cells, allowing for rapid hydration to occur. Basically, L-Glutamine gets a trophy for MVP by pulling together all of our hydration and gut health efforts into one complete package.

WHY is L-Glutamine in re:iimmune®? Obviously the definition, description and benefits of L-Glutamine speak for themselves, but the reason it was chosen to be a part of re:iimmune®’s recovery formula is because it works directly inline with the very mission and purpose of re:iimmune® itself. When re:iimmune® was first created by Dr. Miller, it was created with the concept of illness recovery in mind. The epicenter of our immune system lays within our digestive tract, just as most of our ailments also stem from the state of our guts. With an amino acid that is able to go in and build up damaged intestinal tissue and tighten the walls of our body’s immune system, we have a fighting shot at warding off illness and recovering more efficiently.

cell_fight

As if the power of digestive specific cell repair wasn’t already enough incentive to bring L-Glutamine into the mix, it’s ability to aid in the hydration process is another major bonus to it’s resume. Hydration is obviously a key component to recovering from illness and staying well. Hydration changes the way we feel, think, and act. It has the power to strengthen your immune system, help you sleep more soundly, lower cholesterol, think more clearly, and even brighten dull skin. When the formula for re:iimmune® was first set into motion, Dr. Miller was determined to find an alternative to sugary sports drinks and expensive and unnecessary hospital visits as a means to keep her patients hydrated. L-Glutamine is a key ingredient which helps bring our hydration formula to a clinical standard while also allowing it to remain sugar free.

Whether L-Glutamine is a new word to you, or you’ve been well versed in it’s properties for years, it’s important to us that we explain why we use what we do, because each ingredient was hand picked to help you get better, better™!

Who has time to be sick?

Why Wednesday

Ask aStacy_WhyWednesdaynyone of a certain age and they’ll tell you that there is fine line between a full life and pure chaos. With three kids, two jobs, one housing company, plus family, friends, and all the other stuff- our life is undeniably both awesome and crazy. I re:iimmune to keep things from tipping in favor of crazy. My immune system is the barometer for how busy things have been. Too many obligations, too little self-care, and I’ll catch any illness that comes along. re:iimmune and sleep have become my go-to power duo for halting sickness. As soon as I feel the warning signs—tired body, scratchy throat, aching head—I’ll drink a glass of re:iimmune and go to bed. By helping to keep me healthy, re:iimmune acts as a time management resource. There are really organized women, true pros at balancing it all- I don’t count myself among them. But any day where I manage to accomplish the things that matter is a good day. I’m grateful to re:iimmune for helping me to keep trying.  – Stacy Jurado-Miller

Natural Health Made Simple

Why Wednesday

I became interstacey_bruce, natural health discussionested in health at a very young age, as I watched my Dad through his battle with cancer.  He and my Mom pursued an alternative treatment in the Bahamas, and during their time with the doctors they were educated about food as medicine and overall health of our bodies as related to what we put in them. Now, this is in the 1970’s mind you! Progressive, and not a common approach for the mainstream. From that point on, I never stopped thinking about it. I learned we have more control over our health than we realize and that was fascinating to me.

My passion for wellness led me to the Institute for Integrative Nutrition’s health coaching program. As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, it is my goal to help others learn to allow themselves to heal and escape the cycle of disease.  I can confidently recommend re:iimmune, not only because I know our health begins in our gut but also because it was created from Kerri Miller’s desire to make people better! I have watched her over the years in her passion for health – the sacrifices she has made for her profession and her servant heart for the less fortunate. re:iimmune = love, and I’m on board with that 100%!

re:iimmune is an opportunity for everyone to get in the driver’s seat of their own health in a simple, easily accessible way. By improving immunity, hydration and overall gut health we are giving our bodies a chance to do what they were designed to do in the first place – heal! It’s so much easier to get where you want to go (and a whole lot more fun!) when you feel good…that’s why I re:iimmune!

-Stacey Bruce

Integrative Nutrition Health Coach

Whether you’ve just recently taken up an interest in bettering your health, you haven’t yet developed a true curiosity for alternative or natural health practices, or you’re like our friend Stacey who has been in love with progressive healthcare her whole life, and made a career out of it- there is a spot for you in the re:iimmune® family! The beauty of re:iimmune® is that it is easy enough for anyone to use- it’s as simple mixing a powder packet into water, yet advanced enough to break through both progressive and traditional medical worlds, and loved by all. You Don’t Have to be Sick to re:iimmune

Why Wednesday

“FortunatPaula_WhyWednesdayely, we haven’t had chemo, radiation, or an especially severe case of bad “gut health.”  However, it is possible that we represent a large percentage of those who use re:iimmune on a daily, weekly or bi-weekly basis for our general health and comfort.  I first became aware of the product about two years ago when my husband had a rather long and unexplained problem with his tummy.  He drank one dose a day for about a week and just that quickly he felt so much better.  We have experienced the usual upsets typical of 90 and 80 year olds, but since discovering re:iimmune the difference is that we know what to do about it now.”  -Paula Ahlborn

Here at Make People Better headquarters, we often hear the question: “do I have to be sick to drink re:iimmune®?” Of course not! The truth is, I don’t know a single person who wouldn’t benefit from Clinical Strength Hydration® and Intestinal Immune support. Drinking re:iimmune® on a regular basis is a wonderful way to build up your immune system, and feel better, better™ . The Zinc and 275mg of ginger root in re:iimmune® give your body an extra immune boost, and also aid in reducing upset digestive patterns, and soothing nausea. Ginger alone packs a powerful punch in conjunction with generalized health, you can read more about that here.

We regularly hear from our faithful customers and friends that drinking re:iimmune® every single day has made a definite improvement on their quality of life, and for numerous reasons. Moment of truth: I personally live, eat, and breathe this stuff, but even I don’t remember to drink it every single day, yet, as soon as I start to feel sluggish or physically off, I crave it immediately! Moral of the story is that your health journey is yours, and it will be unique for each individual. As a health conscious person, you’re surely going to attempt to drink enough water in a day, eat foods that promote a healthy digestive pattern, and possibly even supplement with a probiotic formula on occasion. The beauty of re:iimmune® is that it’s truly the whole package in one tiny packet. For the days when you haven’t had time to sit down (much less drink an adequate amount of water), for the days that you cave and  wind up eating that one thing you know your body will not thank you for later, for the days that you just want to lay your head down on your desk and call it quits, re:iimmune® just might be the pick up you need! As for Paula and I, we sure think so. Until next Wednesday, Get better, better™!
