"Fortunately, we haven’t had chemo, radiation, or an especially severe case of bad “gut health.” However, it is possible that we represent a large percentage of those who use re:iimmune on a daily, weekly or bi-weekly basis for our general health and comfort. I first became aware of the product about two years ago when my husband had a rather long and unexplained problem with his tummy. He drank one dose a day for about a week and just that quickly he felt so much better. We have experienced the usual upsets typical of 90 and 80 year olds, but since discovering re:iimmune the difference is that we know what to do about it now." -Paula Ahlborn
Here at Make People Better headquarters, we often hear the question: "do I have to be sick to drink re:iimmune®?" Of course not! The truth is, I don't know a single person who wouldn't benefit from Clinical Strength Hydration® and Intestinal Immune support. Drinking re:iimmune® on a regular basis is a wonderful way to build up your immune system, and feel better, better™ . The Zinc and 275mg of ginger root in re:iimmune® give your body an extra immune boost, and also aid in reducing upset digestive patterns, and soothing nausea. Ginger alone packs a powerful punch in conjunction with generalized health, you can read more about that here.
We regularly hear from our faithful customers and friends that drinking re:iimmune® every single day has made a definite improvement on their quality of life, and for numerous reasons. Moment of truth: I personally live, eat, and breathe this stuff, but even I don't remember to drink it every single day, yet, as soon as I start to feel sluggish or physically off, I crave it immediately! Moral of the story is that your health journey is yours, and it will be unique for each individual. As a health conscious person, you're surely going to attempt to drink enough water in a day, eat foods that promote a healthy digestive pattern, and possibly even supplement with a probiotic formula on occasion. The beauty of re:iimmune® is that it's truly the whole package in one tiny packet. For the days when you haven't had time to sit down (much less drink an adequate amount of water), for the days that you cave and wind up eating that one thing you know your body will not thank you for later, for the days that you just want to lay your head down on your desk and call it quits, re:iimmune® just might be the pick up you need! As for Paula and I, we sure think so. Until next Wednesday, Get better, better™!
If you’re anything like me, you become a little leery when you’re prescribed a new medication. What are the side effects, and the long term consequences of this medication? Are these consequences worth the foreseeable benefits? Is it even the right medication for your unique condition? Is it worth the financial cost, or is it covered by your insurance? These are all common questions, especially for those of us who aren’t use to taking prescription medications on a regular basis.
There is a lot that goes into making sure you get the most out of your prescribed medication. First, and most obviously, getting your prescription actually filled is step one, taking your medication on time, and then making sure you have a good understanding of the directions you’ve been given. It’s important to ask your healthcare provider the correct questions and honestly voice your reasons for hesitation. Often times when we choose to take our medication choices into our own hands without consulting our doctor, we wind up adding greater complications to our illness and in turn, create for ourselves a lower quality of life.
As intimidating as a new medication can appear, it’s vital that you communicate with your health care provider, and do everything you can to reach a mutual agreement on a plan that works both for your lifestyle and your condition, which supports medication adherence. The statistics speak for themselves, medication non-adherence has been found to lead to nearly 20% of preventable adverse drug events in the community setting, and 25% of premature nursing home admissions. Not only that, but it can easily lead to the progression of diseases that would otherwise be preventable, extra doctors visits, and the possibility of premature death.
If you don’t know where to start, or how to keep yourself on track with your medication, here are a few tips from us to you:
Organize- Pick up a pill organizer from your local pharmacy to eliminate any missed or doubled doses.
Ask- Make sure you are taking the best medication for you by doing research on your own, and then taking any questions you have to your trusted physician.
Record- If you feel like you are experiencing adverse reactions or side effects to your new medication, write them down as they come up so that you can accurately consult your doctor.
Remind- Set a reminder on your phone or clock to take your medication at the designated time each day.
Accountability- Talk about your medication use with the people closest to you. Let your significant other, your care giver, or your house mates know about your medication and ask someone you trust to check in with you regularly.
re:iimmune®- Ultimately, most medications do in fact take some type of toll on your body's hydration and intestinal health. Make sure you pair a daily dose of re:iimmune® with your new medication to help ease any possible side effects. Between the ginger for nausea reduction, zinc for immune boosting strength, pre and probiotic blend for intestinal health, and the Clinical Strength hydration formula, you’re sure to feel better, better!
You may not realize it, but your body has an amazing ability to heal itself after a serious injury or illness. Although medicine has come a long way, and should not be takin for granted, it’s important to recognize and take responsibility for our part in recovery. If you are recovering from an illness, a severe injury or just trying to maintain a healthy immune system, it would be in your best interest to observe these health truths.
- Food is Medicine: Most of us have felt that swell of pride whenwe reach around the box of donuts and grab a piece of fruit instead, but that momentary feeling of elation often fades by dinner time as we find ourselves reaching for that second helping of buttery mashed potatoes, or a heaping pile of cheesy pasta. Hungry yet? The truth is, our brains react to food with the same addictive stimulation as it would with any other drug. It doesn’t help that portions are larger than ever, and that processed, feel good treats are more accessible than they have ever been. On top of the temptation to indulge, is the confusion; with every diet fad in the book being thrown around at us from all angles. It can become overwhelming to decipher what approach to take when it comes to a healthy diet. Our mantra? Keep it simple. Say no to carb heavy, processed foods that will drain your energy and leave you feeling lethargic. Say yes to whole fruits and vegetables and lean proteins, and most importantly, enjoy the food you eat! Branch out with some new recipes that abide by these principles, but still leave your mouth watering.
- Sleep Offers So Much More Than Beauty: Your body can cope without food for about a month, without water for up to a week, but sleep? Your body will start shutting down after 48 hours of sleep deprivation. http://www.everydayhealth.com/conditions/what-happens-when-you-dont-sleep-days/ Sleep benefits every aspect of our health, both physically and emotionally, from your heart health, mental stability, and weight control. So go ahead, hit that snooze button one more time, skip that last episode on Netflix, and hit the sack an extra hour early- your body will thank you!
- Exercise Your Way to Health: Get moving! Culturally we tend to complicate this concept, but the simple truth is this; move more. That’s it! It doesn’t take expensive gym memberships, hours of intense weight lifting, or fancy gadgets to “exercise”. Find what works best for you, your budget, and your lifestyle. For me, it’s as simple as taking my dog on a 30-minute walk, or heading to the YMCA for a group yoga class. It gets your blood flowing while simultaneously moving toxins out of your body, and pumping endorphins back through your system. Maybe you’d be more comfortable bicycling through nature, tuning into your favorite in home work out routine, or joining a kick boxing club. However you choose to make exercise your own, own it! The benefits to your health are endless.
At Make People Better, we are passionate about enabling people to take control of their own health. Every day we have opportunities to improve our health, and one step at a time we want to inspire your journey! Don’t forget, the Clinical Strength Hydration® and Intestinal Immune support found in re:iimmune® is the perfect accompaniment to your healthy lifestyle. Get better, better!
"My husband Blake and I were on our honeymoon in Mexico when re:iimmune saved us. We woke up early to head back to Missouri, and we both felt a little off but not sick. We didn't think much of it since we had just spent a week in Mexico, and were eating different foods than our bodies were use to. When we arrived at the Atlanta airport for our layover, we attempted to get something to eat. We couldn't stomach anything! Luckily I had two re:iimmune packets left! It was the only thing we could keep down and it completely helped soothe our stomachs. I was so worried our last plane home was going to be miserable (or that we wouldn't be able to get on the plane) but re:iimmune got us through it! Now, any time my stomach is upset or my body is just feeling down, I always drink re:iimmune!" -Bekah
It's that time of year again! Sand, sun, cruises, lake weekends, hiking trips and airline flights taking you to your favorite destinations. Most of us look forward to longer days, warmer weather, family vacations and romantic honeymoon getaways. If you're anything like me (or like our organized teacher friend, Bekah) you start making your packing list a week before it's time to hit the road. You pack and repack, second guess your apparel decisions a hundred times, and then finally settle into something comfy and set off for paradise. Through crowded airports, new environments, disrupted sleep patterns, and unfamiliar foods- your body doesn't always get the same relief you might feel on vacation. The last thing you want to happen when you're far from home is to deal with the effects of a run down immune system.
No one wants to get up and climb over 3 people, 42 times in one flight, just to use a tiny, uncomfortable airplane commode, or pull off the road at every rest stop in sight when you're hurrying to your awaited location. We normally wind up drinking less fluids as a result, causing our bodies hydration levels to plummet and in turn, your body takes step one towards an upset immune function. The next time you start your packing list, stick re:iimmune® at the very top. With it's special formulation of Clinical Strength Hydration® you will be able to maintain optimal hydration levels without running to the restroom every 20 minutes. With it's blend of pre and probiotics, re:iimmune® fights hard against all the upsets traveling introduces to your digestive system by reintroducing the good bacteria your stomach needs to remain healthy. When you drink a packet of re:iimmune®, you also receive a generous dose of ginger, which is known for aiding in digestion and soothing nausea- as well as a helping of zinc to give you're immune system an extra "oomph". Don't let anything get in the way of your vacation this summer including the travel bug, pack re:iimmune and get better, better!
When your system is run down, your full life has you spinning in circles, and you have been granted the important task of keeping your children healthy, what keeps you going? Jeanne' lets us in on her secret weapon!
"re:iimmune has become a necessity for me! As a grad student, and mom, my immune system has to be in tip top shape to fight off germs and keep me going! It is the perfect recovery drink after a hot day at the beach! I never ever go on vacation without a daily supply of re:iimmune! It has been a life-saver in helping my kiddos recover from being sick or dehydrated from summer camp, and they even love the taste!" -Jeanne'
In theory we all recognize that processed chemicals aren’t good to put into our bodies on a regular basis. We can agree that eating whole foods will benefit our health, trumping a microwave dinner any day, but what do we know about the actual chemicals we’re avoiding besides that they’re bad for us? Sometimes it’s good to know why you’re calling something bad in order to take your claim seriously. When re:iimmune® was created, every single ingredient was carefully considered and scrutinized.
Most hydration drinks are loaded with sugar and unnecessary chemicals, and that’s exactly why it was vital for re:iimmune® to be diabetic friendly, Clinical Strength Hydration™. Usually your mind would automatically just assume that means it’s sugar free, but this concept goes much deeper than the table sugar you store in your pantry. We don’t use sucralose, dextrose or sugar-instead, we use agave insulin extracted from an all natural, organic, blue agave plant. Organic agave extract is rich in nutrients, and is also considered a “super fiber” that promotes digestive health by serving as a prebiotic- aiding the good bacteria that lives in our gut.
Why is one of the most important questions you can ask, so why do we choose not to use other commonly used sugar substitutes? Good question!
Sucralose, a commonly found sugar substitute, is technically just chlorinated sugar according to it’s processing. There are a lot of big words associated with the research on sucralose, but the important thing to know is that it has been found to be 300,000 times more carcinogenic than DDT, an insecticide that was banned for it’s extreme toxicity. The compounds formed in this process have been linked to a number of diseases, birth defects and immune dysfunction. There you have it! Why would a product that was created to make you feel better contain a chemical linked to the very things we’re fighting?
Dextrose, is a form of sugar that is most commonly made from corn that is genetically modified and is chemically identical to glucose (blood sugar). Being as I just used the diabetic dirty word, glucose, you can assume the obvious: it spikes blood sugar levels like crazy which is terrible for the average person, but especially for anyone who is pregnant, nursing, hyperglycemic or diabetic. It also takes a slug at the body’s general immune system function. This particular derivative of sugar is most commonly going to be GMO, and that’s a whole other can of worms I’ll let you open on your own time!
Sugar is important to recognize as harmful beyond the commonly thought of cavities and love handles as it’s linked to a myriad of dangers from disrupted hormonal cycles, the development of diabetes itself, and a vast amount of cardiovascular issues.
As timing would have it, the FDA recently announced new food labeling restrictions to adjust the serving sizes according to the amount one would typically consume, and for the first time all labels will be required to list added sugars! Knowing what we’re consuming and why, is one major step in the right direction towards a healthy and functional lifestyle.
Now you know re:iimmune® is sugar, dextrose and sucralose free and WHY, we hope you also have some valuable information that you can carry with you on your next grocery shopping trip.

When Dr. Kerri Miller was taking her first steps towards the creation of reiimmune, the book “Start With Why” by Simon Sinek was a life changing inspiration that played a part in the foundation of the development of reiimmune. So it’s only natural that we want to know your "why".
Here’s Sarah’s WHY:
"I love drinking re:iimmune because it helps keep me balanced after a crazy season of transition and a new job. I know my immune system took a hit this winter when I had to take antibiotics for the first time in 6 years, and re:iimmune helped my gut health and in turn, my immune system. Now I am in a habit of drinking it regularly. It helps me stay hydrated and healthy, even during a stressful work week, and my dog is thankful I have the energy to keep up with him!" -Sarah
Why do you reiimmune?
Stay tuned for your weekly WHY Wednesday!
